Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Location: Cobo Hall, Room D3-2.

Hosted by the Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, Peace Action, and War Times

The struggle of displaced farmers, indigenous people, women, and oppressed nations against U.S. military bases around the world, and the struggle of people of color and working class communities in the United States to change U.S. economic policy to prioritize basic human needs over war-making are two sides of the same coin.

How can we concretely work together to build a sustained movement that diminishes the power of war making institutions?

How can we evoke excitement in our immediate communities as well as broader sectors of society around a set of goals and tactics that are about deflating the warfare state?

Join us to discuss how we can connect the two struggles in building a movement that challenges the power of U.S. war making institutions.

The caucus aims to bring together organizers/leaders of domestic struggles that have a stake in changing U.S. budget priority, as well as folks struggling against U.S. bases abroad, and engage everyone in a facilitated conversation about how we can concretely and collectively work together in a movement against U.S. war and militarism
