Women for Genuine Security

Women for Genuine Security is a product of the first International Network meetings that was founded in Okinawa, May 1997. In October 9-13, 1998, women from the U.S. hosted the second network meeting in Washington, D.C. to bring their concerns of foreign bases to Capitol Hill and Washington-based organizations. Eight years later, women in the Bay Area held the 6th International Meeting. The organizations listed above worked together to host the 6th meeting. From this meeting, the (Re)Collection newsletter was created by women who met during the planning of the 6th International meeting.
